Η Ε’ τάξη (2022-2023), στο πλαίσιο του μαθήματος της Αγγλικής γλώσσας, υλοποιεί έργο eTwinning με τίτλο “Christmas Carols” Θα διαρκέσει τρεις μήνες από το Νοέμβρη 2022 έως το Γενάρη 2023. Το έργο επικεντρώνεται στις Χριστουγεννιάτικες παραδόσεις και κάλαντα των Ευρωπαϊκών χωρών που συμμετέχουν στο έργο.
Στόχος είναι να αναπτυχθεί η πολιτισμική και διαπολιτισμική συνείδηση στους μαθητές αλλά και η επικοινωνία στην αγγλική γλώσσα γνωρίζοντας τα Χριστουγεννιάτικα έθιμα της πατρίδας τους αλλά και των άλλων χωρών. Συμμετέχουν συνολικά 7 σχολεία από διαφορετικές χώρες της Ευρώπης (Ιταλία, Ισπανία, Ρουμανία, Λιθουανία, Σλοβακία, Πολωνία και Ελλάδα).
Παρουσίαση του έργου στα αγγλικά εδώ
Οι μαθητές συστήθηκαν (σε Padlet) αφού δημιούργησαν avatar και γράψαν λίγα λόγια για τον εαυτό τους.
Ενημερώθηκαν για τους βασικούς κανόνες ασφάλειας στο διαδίκτυο παρακολουθώντας σχετική παρουσίαση. Ακολούθησε συζήτηση και έπαιξαν παιχνίδι Kahoot με τη συμμετοχή μαθητών και από τις άλλες χώρες. Οι νικητές του παιχνιδιού ήταν:
Τέλη Νοεμβρίου δημιουργήθηκε Advent Calendar με Χριστουγεννιάτικες παραδόσεις από τα συμμετέχοντα σχολεία. Μετά το πέρας των Χριστουγέννων, οι μαθητές θα παίξουν παιχνίδι γνώσεων πάνω σ’ αυτές τις πληροφορίες.

Σελίδα 2 Christmas boats
In the past, in Greece it was more usual to see a decorated boat instead of a tree at Christmas. Greece is a country which has a lot of islands and sailors so, while they are at sea for months at a time, their families waited for them to return. When they returned, the children decorated the boats to welcome their dad back home. Perhaps, therefore the boat became a symbol for Christmas in Greece. Today, many Greek homes decorate a tree too, but the tradition of decorating a boat is still very strong.
Σελίδα 9 The Kallikantzari
The “Kallikantzari” are nasty, Greek Christmas goblins. They are small, hairy, smelly, and ugly. They live under the ground. They try to cut down the “Tree of life” which holds up the Earth and everyone living above. However, just before the final part of the tree is cut, Christmas Day comes. On this day, they climb up to Earth and cause trouble for the people. They steal their food, make the milk go sour, tease people, hide things and break furniture. They do this until January 6th. On this day, the priests bless the waters and sprinkle holy water in people’s houses. The Kallikantzari hate holy water and run quickly back under ground. There, they that see the “Tree of life” has healed itself and they start cutting it all over again.

Σελίδα 16 Traditional Greek Christmas sweets – Melomakarona
Melomakarona are traditional Greek Christmas sweets and can be found in almost all Greek homes at Christmas time. They are honey cookies that are made with olive oil, flour, citrus, cinnamon, clove and of course, honey. They are soft, moist, cookies dipped in honey syrup. They don’t have egg or dairy products so; they are perfect as a Lenten treat during fasting. They are much healthier for you than most holiday sweets and walnuts are added for extra flavour!

Kalanda are the traditional Greek Christmas carols sung on Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve and on the Eve of Theofania (Epiphany Day). On these days, children in groups go from house to house to sing the carols. They sing the carols accompanied by a metal triangle and the people give them pocket money or sweets. The lyrics of Greek Christmas carols wish good luck and prosperity to the family. It is considered a blessing to have children sing the Kalanda at your house on these days.
Στα πλαίσια του διαγωνισμού για το project logo κάποιοι μαθητές δημιούργησαν σχέδια ψηφιακά ή χειροποίητα. Οι μαθητές του σχολείου μας ψήφισαν το logo που θα αντιπροσωπεύσει το σχολείο μας στο διαγωνισμό. Το logo που ψηφίστηκε ήταν του Αναστάση Σαπουρίδη:
Το παρακάτω logo πήρε τις περισσότερες ψήφους για να αντιπροσωπεύσει το έργο μας και ήταν της Ιταλίας!
Το Δεκέμβρη οι μαθητές δημιούργησαν χειροποίητες Χριστουγεννιάτικες κάρτες και τις έστειλαν ταχυδρομικά στα άλλα σχολεία.
Δημιουργία Playlist από Χριστουγεννιάτικα Κάλαντα
Δημιουργήθηκε playlist με παραδοσιακά κάλαντα από όλες τις συμμετέχουσες χώρες. Με τη καθοδήγηση και τη συνοδεία της κυρίας Άνγκελας Κλάουσνιτζερ (δασκάλα μουσικής) οι μαθητές τραγούδησαν παραδοσιακά ελληνικά κάλαντα. Τα Κάλαντα μας μπήκαν σε μια λίστα με τα Κάλαντα των άλλων χωρών, μπορείτε να τα ακούσετε στο Playlist εδώ
